do genetic health testing on both parents for all necessary diseases and
defects. OFA testing for hips and elbows is one of the most
common tests done. Having parents with
good scores will mean that your puppy will have the lowest chances of having
hip dysplasia or malformed elbows which can severely slow down or hurt a dog as
it ages. Each breed will also have
different diseases that are common and can be tested for.
